How to Reduce Fire Risks in the Workplace

  1. Maintain Fire Safety Systems

Regularly inspect and service fire alarms, smoke detectors, sprinkler systems, and fire extinguishers to ensure they work properly during an emergency.

  2. Avoid Overloading Electrical Sockets

Do not overload power outlets or use damaged electrical equipment, as this can increase the risk of electrical fires.

  3. Keep Fire Extinguishers Accessible and Functional

Place fire extinguishers in visible, accessible locations and inspect them regularly to ensure they are ready for use.

  4. Provide Regular Fire Safety and Emergency Response Training

Train employees on fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and the proper use of fire extinguishers through regular drills and training sessions.
