On 23 July 2026, a fire broke out at the Selangor Wholesale Market (PKPS Agro) in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. Three shops within the market compound were destroyed, but the main building was not affected. The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) confirmed that the market remained safe, and business operations continued as usual.
A total of 68 JBPM personnel and 16 fire engines were deployed to control the fire, with assistance from volunteer firefighters and other agencies. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, including the possibility of negligence or sabotage, and forensic investigations are being carried out by the authorities.
